Hotel Newton New York

The Hotel Newton was a great choice for our girls' trip to NYC. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and a kitchenette. The location near the subway and Central Park was perfect. The staff was mostly friendly, and the added amenities like the coffee station were a nice touch. The price was reasonable for a quiet, family-friendly hotel.

The staff at Hotel Newton swiftly addressed my room's draft issue, providing a warm solution. Although the elevators were out, they graciously carried my luggage. Their compensation of free Wi-Fi was greatly appreciated. I'd happily return for their excellent service and convenient location.

Fairly clean hotel, liked to be not far from drugstore, a metro stop thanks to ideal location. Early check-in. Luckily it was close to Ayurveda Cafe, had pastries there when it was cold outside.

I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel in New York! the room was spacious with a microwave and refrigerator, which was super convenient. the location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the subway station and close to some great places to eat. the staff were friendly and helpful; they even carried my bags down to the lobby for me. the room service was on point. It was so nice to have a fresh, clean room every day.

One small thing that could be improved is the bathroom lighting; it was a bit too harsh.

location is very close to the central park and with the subway next to it so you can move around. room we chose had a shared bathroom but it was semi-private and always very clean. bed was very comfortable and cleaning was impeccable. Although we didn't have breakfast, they always have coffee or tea available at the reception and they have cookies and fruit. receptionists were always available to help us out at all times.

Maybe the hotel needs a little maintenance, it's a little old. With the elevator you can wait forever and consider going up 9 floors as was our case, it was too much.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I was impressed with the room size and amenities available, like the fridge, microwave, and dresser. The hotel's indoor swimming pool and quiet environment provided the perfect setting to unwind after a day of exploring the city. Though the shower controls were a bit confusing, a simple note with clear instructions could easily fix that 🚿.

I absolutely adored the elegant decorations in the lobby and common areas. The beautiful furnishings and cozy seating made it a delightful place for older folks like myself to relax and unwind. What's more, the hotel's accessibility was simply wonderful for seniors, with spacious elevators and well-lit hallways making it easy to move around comfortably.

I would only wish for a better vacation experience for senior people if there were more seating areas in the lobby or common spaces, where us older folks could sit and enjoy the surroundings while waiting for the children of the staff to assist us.

I chose Newton for its proximity to Central Park, and I was pleasantly surprised by the discounted parking at a nearby garage. The nearby family-style restaurant with large portions for sharing was perfect for a cozy meal after a day of exploration.

The hotel wasn't the first one to be young. We were greeted by the unpleasant smell of chemistry after the recent cleaning. The room is really a clinic, there was nowhere to move. They put an extra bed in the room for two people and it was already for four;) But with four people there was nothing to breathe. Although there was an air conditioner in the window, it was old and noisy like a tractor. Opening the window didn't help either, as it looked out onto the inner courtyard, where the other internal expanders were growling. The price was definitely too high for such a standard.

Omg, staying near the subway was a game changer! easy peasy to travel around. 🚇 Rooms were spacious and clean, but the lift didn't work 😫 staff was super friendly and helpful.

Great location right next to the metro station, which is an excellent base for exploring New York. Next to the hotel there are several restaurants serving breakfast (option in case you do not buy a hotel meal). All-round coffee, fruit and biscuits :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel due to its convenient location near Central Park and Broadway, as well as the friendly staff. the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, and kitchenette, providing extra comfort rarely found in Manhattan hotels. However, the noise levels from the AC unit and street traffic could be improved for a more peaceful stay.

Which, unfortunately, is under-informed when it comes to buying Hop-on Hop-off tickets. You only pay an advance on the spot and rest of the amount must be paid at the bus station, staff did not know. Every day I had to ask for new magnetic cards for the door. After midnight, cards magically stopped working. No kettle. at three stars, it should be standard. whole hotel would need a major overhaul. You see, it was recently modernized at the beginning of this millennium.

Hotel very well located 20 m from the subway line, Central Park at 20 min walk. Decoration of period but very comfortable, impeccable cleanliness and very friendly welcome. Excellent value for money for NY. We will return with our children without hesitation!

After a long day of exploring New York City, returning to the cozy haven with plush queen beds and a flat-screen TV felt like stepping into a cloud. The comfort was on par with sinking into a marshmallow after a day of running around the city.

We had taken a room with a shared bathroom. It was very clean and only shared with a second room. The rooms aren't very soundproof but after our days in New York, you fall asleep quickly. 50 yards from the subway that goes straight down to Broadway. Central park is 2 blocks away.

I stayed at Hotel Newton with my 13-14 year old kids and was pleasantly surprised by the suite we got for a discounted price - two queen beds, a living room, and kitchenette. The location was ideal, near Central Park and a subway station. The staff was helpful, and the lobby had fruit and coffee. Great value for money. The indoor swimming pool facilities offered relaxation, and the nearby landmarks like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park provided excellent opportunities for family bonding.

We were right near some awesome live music venues and theaters, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Plus, we could easily walk to Central Park for a chill day out.

It would have been even more lit if the hotel had a cool rooftop bar for us to hang out and party with other young people.

I recently stayed at Hotel Newton for a week-long trip to the city. The location was perfect, just outside the noisy city center but with a subway station right outside the hotel, making it only a 10-minute ride to Times Square. I loved the convenience of having a good diner next door for breakfast and a fantastic Thai restaurant just two doors down. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and always eager to help. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fridge and microwave in my room, something you rarely see in Manhattan hotels. a great experience.

However, rooms may lack seating for large families, and a staff member's reaction to room issues was disappointing. Despite discomfort from beds, the room was reasonably priced and met basic needs. Stuffy rooms, faulty iron, and lack of natural light were drawbacks. Overall, a clean, user-friendly space with helpful staff and great amenities such as morning offerings.

I stayed at Hotel Newton for 3 nights with my family of 6. The location is excellent, right across from the 96th Street subway station and within walking distance of Columbia University and Central Park. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Charles at the front desk even gave us a free upgrade and allowed us to check in early. There are also great amenities nearby, like a diner and bakery for breakfast. if you're not high maintenance, I would definitely recommend this property.
